Always Win
There’s a man from my
hometown that I have never met,
I’ve heard him on my
radio and on my tv set.
And though I’ve never
met him and I am just a fan,
He’s like a brother
to me, that’s how I love the man.
Chorus
Seventeen’s his
number, the Western Auto ride,
He’s driving Chevy
thunder, and I’m right there inside.
And even though I
like to see him win, it doesn’t matter how he’s placed.
He’ll still my
favorite driver and he’ll always win my race.
You won’t hear him
complaining, and you’ll never hear him whine,
His heart belongs to
Jesus, and he keeps it on the line.
And Stevie brings the scripture, she
puts it right on board,
And even if he had to
drive a Ford, he still would praise the Lord.
Chorus
All of us have
struggles and heartbreaks deep inside,
When we fall, when we
hit the wall, cause we can’t turn the tide.
Darrell you have
shown us how we never should give up,
Every day is another
way to win our Winston Cup.
